The Mile High Bull Terrier Club salutes our number one rescue hero and his family! Dean, Marsha and Amanda Snepenger accept into foster care every dog that passes through our program. They always have room for “just one more” and at times have housed 4-5 rescues at one time. Not only do they love and care for the dogs, they train and soften even the most hardened souls.

If you have come to love a MHBTC rescue dog in your family, Dean (pictured at left with Tazzer - one of the dozens of Bullies Dean has fostered) is the man to thank. You are our hero!

If you are interested in becoming a Rescue Hero, please contact Barb Deevers at 303-988-8279. It takes a lot for someone to open their home and their heart to be a Foster Home for rescue dogs - if you think you have what it takes please let us know!

If you are interested in adopting a rescue dog click over to our Rescue and Adoption page and look over the Bullies waiting for their forever home! Please take a few minutes to review our adoption guidelines. If you live outside the state of Colorado, please pay special attention to our long-distance adoption guidelines.

You must fill out an ADOPTION APPLICATION (pdf document - fill out and mail or fax back to 303-763-5569) to determine your eligibility to adopt one of our rescue dogs. If you are out-of-state, please also read the LONG DISTANCE ADOPTION GUIDELINES.

A forever home means the dog owner has made the commitment to create a safe and loving home for the dog for the remainder of it’s life. Prior to adopting a dog, do your research and fully understand the breed to confirm it’s the right breed for you and your life style. Dogs that have been put up for adoption require additional patience as they adapt to their new surrounds and build trust that you TOO will not give them up for adoption. Understand it will take time for them to learn their new human “Pack” and how to best fit in and please you. Go into the adoption knowing you will do EVERYTHING within your power to make the relationship work.
